One thing that is different from Bach Stradivarius flugelhorns to most other flugel horns is the bore size At .401" it is smaller than the Conn Vintage One at .413", Getzen flugels at .420" & the Yamaha 631G at .433" to name but a few The smaller bore of Bach Stradivarius Flugelhorns gives them more resistance Given the width of the bell flare of flugels & susequent lack of resistance in that section of the instrument, it can help with high register problems The B & S Challenger has a similar bore size, but then it is a copy ot the Bach Strad flugel
